Earlier in the day, CJP representatives submitted their demands to JP Nadda but the government’s response was awaited.
The Cockroach Janta Party’s march to Parliament was called off after police lathicharge on student protesters, leaving many of them injured, the outfit’s founder Abhijeet Dipke said on Monday evening.
Dipke alleged that the Delhi Police “fractured” the heads of 12-year-old girls and allegedly tore clothes of women protesters.

The police have denied the allegations, claiming that some of the protesters resorted to stone pelting, promoting minimum use of force.

At least 50 paramilitary personnel and 10 police officials were reportedly injured in the violence.
The police also vacated the Jantar Mantar protest site but Dipke said that the agitation would continue. He urged people to join him outside the Kerala Bhavan near Jantar Mantar.
Earlier in the day, CJP representatives Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka met Union Minister JP Nadda and submitted the organisation’s demands, including Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation and compensation for families of students who allegedly committed suicides over paper leaks.
Dipke ended his indefinite hunger strike at Sonam Wangchuk’s request before the party reported that he had been taken away.
